This project consisted of a study and evaluation of six different sites to determine the most suitable site to construct a new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facility for the City of Tallahassee. The project was completed on a short schedule since the City was on a fast-track to select a site for its new CNG facility. G&A developed the site plan geometries for all six sites and evaluated: environmental and cultural features, traffic impacts and traffic concurrency, regulatory requirements, zoning regulations, utilities, and the construction costs. The study concluded with an in-depth evaluation and comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of each site and a final recommendation. This site selection was a critical step in the City’s effort to construct its own CNG facility.
