Project Elements: 

George & Associates was contracted to provide general civil engineering services, including the development of the site, grading, drainage, and utility plans for the FAMU Village Suites in Tallahassee. The required stormwater management facility presented a design challenge due to limited available area. This was resolved by the use of vertical sand filters and a vertical retaining wall. G&A worked closely with landscape architects on this project to ensure a final design that was suitable for use in a college campus setting. G&A ensured that FAMU’s requirements for new construction were met, and obtained all necessary permits from local and state authorities.
