Project Elements: 

G&A provided Site Planning, Civil Engineering and Environmental Services on a 50-acre parcel, for the design of the Pre-K thru 8 Madison County Central School. Services included the design of a sewage collection and water distribution system, pump station design, turn lane improvements, parking improvements and coordinating all permitting with FDOT, FDEP and the Suwannee River Water Management District.

In addition to the basic civil services mentioned, George and Associates also developed computer generated models of the site during the grading process in an effort to produce a balanced site, with respect to the earthwork volumes. As an added benefit, this process allowed for the additional fill to be removed from the building pad areas and relocated on site to create a large plateau that would eventually be used for athletic fields. Added attention was also given to the stabilization efforts on the site. Severe slopes required the implementation of sedimentation and erosion control standards that were well above typical practices.
