G&A provided civil engineering services for the FAMU Amphitheater. This project began with the demolition of four FAMU campus buildings, also known as the Pentaplex. Demolition included the access road, the parking lot, all sidewalks, existing drainage structures, and many utility structures within the project area. A total of 97,150 SF of impervious area was demolished to make way for the construction of a new amphitheater on the vacated site.
The amphitheater is concrete and features terraced grass seating areas. The project also includes 17,435 SF of new concrete sidewalks, an access road, a new asphalt parking lot, and a total of 116 parking spaces.
